This is our smallest Jazz lead mouthpiece, similar to Bach 12, with a sound that cuts more but retains focused lead trombone tone. The Choco responds with a crisp even feel throughout the range of the instrument. Great for lead playing this mouthpiece produces the lightest sound of all of our jazz mouthpieces. Rim is .965 and the throat is .234 in diameter, shallow cup shape bowl. Chocolatero ~ This wind blows in the Gulf of Mexico. It is named because of the sand this wind carries. It is a warm wind. Barber
The Barber is a medium size Jazz mouthpiece similar to Bach 11 sound with a slightly shallower cup. The Barber produces a warmer fuller sound than the Chocolatero. For players who are looking for a mouthpiece with more depth of sound while still retaining even response, great projection, and comfort. Rim is .970 and the throat is .230 in diameter, medium depth bowl shape cup. Barber~ A strong wind carrying damp snow or sleet and spray that freezes upon contact with objects. Play Naked ! Chubasco
Excellent for those who are looking for a mouthpiece that projects, and holds up well while performing the powerful dynamic contrasts of lead playing. While the core of tone holds together the upper over tones cut through ensembles and allow the soloist to be heard. The rim is designed for maximum comfort without loss of sound, and ease of playability. The Chubasco produces the largest sound when compared to our other jazz mouthpieces, giving the soloist plenty of room for dynamic contrast and artistic expression.
